So, after supper this evening, we took Charlie downtown to the 1st Treat Yogurt. Chocolate and vanilla frozen yogurt was on the menu, and topped with mini Reeses Pieces.
As usual, Charlie wouldn't try it until he got to have his own spoon and scoop out the most enormous bite of ice cream, which he promptly called "cood" for cold. (Finally moving from "hat" (hot) which he used to say about anything with an extreme temperature). Interestingly, the thing he enjoyed the most were the "cookies" on the ice cream. It took a moment for Jay and I to realize that the CANDY was in fact what he was referring to, and when there were no more "cookies" left, he was "all done." Except to ask for "more cookies."
It was really cute to watch him scoop out the bites, and re-lick the spoon each time. I think we have an ice cream lover on our hand. :)

It's a girl!
So, we found out last Friday that our new little munchkin is a girl. A "matching bookend" for Charlie, as the doctor said. Everything looks good, and normal, and healthy, and we are very excited.
I can now starting planning the baby's room, and Charlie's room will be set up very soon, even if he does not sleep in it til closer to December.
Names are still a point of contention(?) with Jason and I, but I am sure we will resolve it well before the little one is born. Meaning I will get my way ;)
U/S pics to come.

Virginia Beach and Oakland Zoo Trip
We got back from Virginia Beach on Tuesday, and began our work week. While we were there, Charlie experienced the beach for the first time. There was some resistance to the water, but he loved the sand and running around like a wild boy!
Today we went to the Oakland Zoo. Charlie has been to the zoo before, the one in Sacramento, but this time, I believe he actually enjoyed it and realized there were animals around. He very much enjoyed the monkeys, giraffes, and elephants. He loved running around and climbing on the structures like the frog, turtles, and snakes :) As well as getting to pet the goats and sheep.
