News to move...

So, Jason has officially decided to accept the Livermore National Lab position, and we will be moving the weekend of August 10th.

We are looking forward to our move, mainly because we do not have to do any of the moving. :) But the following weeks will be busy, as we have to clean out and organize our many belongings to know what we want to take to our temporary housing.

Then we will have about 4 weeks to find a new place to live. We are looking various cities around Livermore. Pleasanton is an option, and Donna has suggested Dublin and Castro Valley.

Of course, as soon as we have permanent addresses, emails, etc., we will inform all of you.

Love to you all

Heartbeat....It's a horse!

Well little bump's heart was beatin' away this afternoon. Her little heart was a bit over 140 bpm...so, apparently it's a girl. Ha ha!!! Though I have read there was actually a study about this and there is no correlation between gender and fetal heart rate. But, females DID have a higher heart rate AFTER the onset of labor than males do. Interesting!

After asking many questions today, Jason and I elected not to have the protein blood work done. We are just praying for a healthy, happy baby, and going from there.

Our next appointment is the "big" one...with "THE" ultrasound. Where I am supposed to drink a ton of water beforehand and not to the bathroom. And we will not be finding out whether Bump is a girl or boy, though I call Bump a "her" and Jason calls Bump a "him." We will just have to be pleasantly surprised! :)

Love to you all,

Skittle Nation

Thanks to all of you who have inundated me with sour skittles. They are much appreciated...as I want them all time. Of course, self-control has to take over, and I do stop myself. Otherwise, I would already have gained the weight that I am supposed to gain over the 9 months all in one month!

Update...

Sorry it has been awhile since I have posted, however, not much is happening on the baby front.

Jason and I went to a wedding last weekend which was lovely, but we drove the 500 miles there, and I had to stop to pee every hour and a half. It was rather annoying for both of us, especially Jason, who was driving, but, what can a girl do??

I have been sick all week (I think thanks to Frank!!) with an awful cold and cough. My health is finally improving, though I am almost positive it is taking me longer to heal due to the fact my body is taking better care of Bump than me!! And the medications I can take are few and far between.

Apparently, little Bump would fit into the size of my open hand, weighs about 5 oz. Amazing. We have another doctor's appt next Wednesday, but no ultrasound til the following appointment, where we could find out if Bump is a boy or girl. But I want to be surprised, so I am not going to find out. Oh well to those out there who really want to start buying pink or blue by the masses.

With all our love

Random Notes...

Y'all are so sweet to leave me comments about bump in my tummy...and thanks for the "beautiful" comment. Sometimes I definitely don't feel that.

Well, I spilled the beans at work today to most of the supervisors, and they were all very supportive and kind.

And news flash: NO RUBBER BANDS NEEDED THIS WEEK! Hurray for jeans, and other looser pants :)

Going to a wedding in Monterey this weekend...so if I don't update before then, I will do so when I get home!

Love

PS--Does anyone else wonder where the elusive "J" is with posting? Does he feel intimidated by my more quality work?

PPS--And where the [covering tummy] hell [uncovering tummy] are all the bloody sour Skittles???? I am really about to go on a rampage.
