At less than 8 weeks until we welcome a new baby into our home, I have spent some time reflecting on how lucky I am, and how much I have to be thankful for.
Our weekend was lovely with good friends and fellowship, and as always, good food.
I am thankful for our friends, the ease of friendship, even through distance and over time. I am thankful for supportive and loving family, from parents and siblings, to inlaws and cousins.
I am thankful that we are all healthy. That my husband is supportive, and that our son's smiles can change my mood instantly.
I am thankful for the option to not have to go back to work, and instead raise our children, and look for something that will fulfill me both professionally and personally.
I love our little family so much and feel blessed to have it each day, each hour, each moment.

Charlie's 3rd Haircut, but 1st with pictures...
What a bad momma I am! But, I did manage to bring my camera along this time, and got a few snaps of him. He loved being the Lightning McQueen seat, and was moving and shaking that thing the entire time the woman was cutting his hair. Those people are good. No doubt about it.
He did better with the clippers this time, and did have a very serious, almost angry face, but did not lash about, cry, or start tantrumming. He was awesome. And his hair looks SO much better!
Later...Pointing out each rain drop and saying,"rain, water." And there were a lot of raindrops.

DURING.....
Still DURING, almost After! You will have to wait for a bit to get really good AFTER shots :)

New Glider
I picked up the cushions for my glider today from Julie, a mom on the Livermore Mom's Club Board. She did a fabulous job, and the fabric is so awesome!
Thanks Julie!!

Less than 10 weeks to go...
It's amazing, but in about 2 months from now, Jay and I will have a new baby girl, and Charlie a little sister. I am 30 weeks, and most likely will go into the hospital for the c-section on 1/15/10. Takes alot of the surprise of "when" out of the birthday, but, I will admit the convenience of arranging family coming into town to take care of Charlie is very nice.
Dr. Z told me today that she wanted to stop working no later than Christmas, which is what I intended. Just based on the logistics of job, it doesn't make sense to go back to work for 1 week, and then have a week off before having the baby. Now to figure out the exact mess of the work schedule, vacation days, and holidays, to get it cleared up for my disability.
Charlie and I had a great weekend with Tiffany, and although Tiffany and I were either painting or sleeping, and therefore very busy, we had alot of fun. And the baby's room looks great :) I don't have any final pictures, but some "in progress ones." And a few random ones of Charlie!

I'm a big boy now...
Charlie made the transition to a twin bed last Thursday. Jason and I figured we may need 3 days of repeated "getting up," and so starting on a weekend was a good idea. However, Charlie did fabulous! Only one cry the first night, and up one time each on Saturday and Sunday. All because he could not find his bag with his pacis in them. Sunday and Monday night have gone great.
He is very excited about his new room, that is in a transportation theme. He plays in there, and now always goes to this room when told to put something/get something from his room.
This was the morning after his first night in the new bed. He kept saying "ow-ee" and pointing to his chin.
He still loves to sleep up against the rail, like in his crib.
Blackout shades FTW! These keep Charlie sleeping until between 7 and 8 each morning, making Momma and Daddy two happy parents :)

All his toys, and MANY cars on the wall. Now, just waiting for a bookshelf and desk, and his letters, and then his room will be complete!
